Luxury Bath Towels - A Simple Interior Design Alternative

Luxury Bath Towels - A Simple Interior Design Alternative-1

Bathroom interior design is always an important part of any home style. Decorating the bathroom can be an inexpensive experience when compared to the rest of the house, which also adjusts the ambience of the whole house in turn. Indeed it could be said that the bathroom has become the showpiece and essential part of any designer house. Bathroom design does not stop at fixtures and lighting. Accessories are an important part of additional style. Luxury towels, bath mats and even hanging bathrobes are extremely useful at altering the feel and look of a room.

To explore this, lets take Missoni Home as an example. In my opinion, what Missoni Home does best is shown through their use of stylised multicoloured designs. Available in a variety of bright colours, these towels and bath mats can completely transform the character of a bathroom. Towelling can be an essential part of this. Missoni specialise in luxury cotton bath towels that invigorate the bathroom with a variety of iconic designs and multitude of colour choices. The Missoni design is typically one of multi-bright colours in its traditional striped layout, but Missoni's bath towel sets are not limited to this. There is a huge variety in which could be used to transform a vibe, something that really must be seen to be understood, as words can't fully describe the way a simple bath sheet effects a room.

Colors For the Small Bedroom

Colors For the Small Bedroom-1

Pink and rose are the typical colors that girls love. However, they do not have to appear sweet and demure, and for the very young only. There are beautiful shades of pink that are very delicate but also extremely refined. A little black is added to the rose hues which produces natural tones that one finds in stones, dried wood, delicate mother of pearl or in sandalwood. These are excellent hues for the small room because they create a very relaxing and meditative atmosphere.

It takes a good hand to combine the pale shades of rose, lilac and mauve so that they do not look insipid. They gain depth when combined with a sandalwood brown or stone gray. When cleverly combined, these delicate pastels have a special, poetic beauty. They look exquisite when used for flowing materials, such as shimmering silks, satins, soft wools, and fine cotton. Since these hues can not be clearly defined, they change continually according to the light, which gives them added subtlety.

A popular theme is nautical, where blue and white stripes are painted vertically on the wall. They can be topped off with an eggshell finish to give it a slight shimmer. Couches match, displaying navy pillows and ottomans and sconces light up a room with a soft, dim glow. This kind of luxury bedroom décor will surely make you comfortable asleep!

The Rise of the Luxury Hotel Industry

The Rise of the Luxury Hotel Industry-1The history of the rise of the luxury hotel industry is a fascinating story. With the start of the industrial revolution, in the 1760s, hotels began to be built across Europe and the United States. Later, holiday resorts began to pop up along the French and Italian Riviera. In Boston, The Tremont House was the first deluxe hotel in a city centre. It provided "inside toilets, locks on the doors, and an 'a la carte' menu."

The Rise of the Luxury Hotel Industry-2The Holt Hotel in New York City was the first to provide its guests with a lift for their luggage. In 1822, in Venice, Giuseppe Dal Niel transformed an old palace into a hotel and gave it the name, "Le Danieli." In the spring of 1834, L'Hotel des Bergues was built on the shore of Lake Geneva. In New York, the New York Hotel was the first hotel to be equipped with private bathrooms.

The Rise of the Luxury Hotel Industry-3

In 1970, construction of hotels began to increase in order to accommodate the traveling business person. Hotel chains started to offer a wide range of services and their rooms became more spacious and luxurious, as well as offering fine dining.

The next development in the hotel industry began in 1980 and was highlighted by more creative marketing. As well, hotels began to adapt to a wealthier clientele. During this time, hotels near airports, hotels for conferences, health hotels, ski holiday hotels, holiday villages and marina hotels began to emerge across the country.

In 1984, work began on a hotel of the prominent sultans' residence, the Ciragan Palace in Istanbul. Managed by the Kempinski chain, it opened its 322 rooms to guests in 1991. The resulting hotel defined luxury and elegance. Also during this period, Far East countries such as China and Japan began to develop luxury hotel accommodations for wealthy tourists and business people. International chains were also expanding across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia targeting the wealthy.
